Advanced Training Center
Through the Advanced Training Center in the Attorney General's Office, California law enforcement officers across the state are able to receive specialized training from recognized experts in the field. The courses are certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and offered to eligible personnel tuition-free under state and federal government grants.
Using the links on this site, you can view the course directory that provides an overview and description of the training sessions. As you will see, subjects range from clandestine drug labs to investigation of hi-tech computer crimes to surveillance training. You also may view our schedule of classes.
Before submitting registration forms, law enforcement officers should check with your local training officer to make sure you are eligible to sign up for the courses in which you are interested and to confirm the dates and times of the training sessions you want to attend.
Please review the Application Information and Procedures, which outlines the center's cancellation, no-show and substitution policies. Familiarity with these procedures and policies will make the registration process easier and the training experience more pleasant for all.
If you have questions about any of our courses or about our application and enrollment procedures, contact the Advanced Training Center at (916) 464-1200.
