Drug Trafficker Interdiction
Course Description
- This 40-hour course is designed for the patrol officer/narcotic investigator. The course is comprised of lecture and field exercises pertaining to the investigation of drug trafficking, utilizing passenger and commercial vehicles.
Who Should Attend
- Peace officers who are assigned full-time to patrol or narcotic enforcement and have a definite interest in commercial and passenger vehicle drug interdiction.
Course Objectives
- To provide students with a working knowledge of drug trafficking with the use of commercial vehicles and other conveyances; and familiarize the student with the most common vehicle concealment methods, searching techniques, passenger and commercial vehicle indicators, investigative techniques, case management, resource assistance and officer safety.
