Internet Explorer (IE) Requirements
SkillSoft has determined that the Internet Explorer browser requires the use of a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) file to use their Interactive Course. Please use the following instructions to determine the version of the JRE needed and how to go about obtaining the download.
- Determine the Version of the JRE Required
View SkillSoft's requirements to find their recommended version of the JRE. See "Client System Requirements", on the specifications page. - Download the Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
- Visit the SUN website at:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp - Find the version of the JRE recommended by SkillSoft. Use the “Previous Releases” tab if needed to find your version.

- Pop-Up Blocker
A browser enabled with a pop-up blocker (or similar window blocking tool) may interfere with the launch of the Job Aids, NASBA, Help, and SkillBriefs windows from the SkillSoft Course Player. If this occurs, SkillSoft recommends you set the blocking tool to "Always allow" for SkillSoft (e.g. sites ending in .skillport.com) or for the site from which you access the course. - If you "Opt Out" to download the JRE file, take the Non-Interactive Course. This is the text-only version of the online ethics course.
