****************** Members of the Cathedral City criminal street gang were congregating in a local park when rival gang members entered the park. Giron's co-fugitive brother, Jose Giron, and a rival gang member were arguing over the rights to tag in an area that both gangs were calling their own 'turf.' Jose Giron and a rival gang member engaged in a physical altercation and Jose Giron lost the fight. After the fight, Jose Giron went to a truck and pulled out a handgun and fatally shot the rival gang member. After the shooting, Angel and Jose physically beat the victim while he lay on the ground.
